original oil painting by Canadian Artist Donald Flather.
Donald
was as much a botanist as he was an artist. He enjoyed
finding wild flowers in the high alpine in the short
summer blooming period and painting them with stunning
glacier landscapes in the paintings. This early painting
features delicate Glacier Lilies with what are likely
Rocky Mountain Glaciers in the scene.
