These fine limited edition prints are limited to just 200 prints per size (some sizes may be limited to 50 prints, 75 prints, 100 prints or in some cases 300 prints). One of the benefits of printing them
on canvas is that you can frame them like an original
painting, as there is no need to place glass in front
of them. The prints are so realistic that many viewers
believe they are looking at the original.
Notes:
Donald was drawn to this awe inspiring peak on Baffin
Island. A skier even performed a stunt off Mt. Asgard
in a James Bond film. Donald met the man that wrote
the stunt contract while in Frobisher.
"Named
after the home of the Scandinavian Gods. Mt. Asgard
rises about 3,000 feet above the tongue of the Turner
Glacier (which curves off tothe viewer's right and
distance). The floor of the Glacier is about 2500
feet above sea level.
Sketched
rapidly from our 'Northair' plane at mountain-top
altitude through Pangnirtung Pass especially suited
for artists and photographers.
In one of the James Bond movies, a skier skied off
the snow top of this pinnacle. He was to receive $10,000
cash plus expenses if he lived but if he died, his
family was to receive $250,000. I know the man in
Frobisher, Desmond Nicklos, who typed out the contract.
The skier lived unharmed."
